Historical Walking Tour of Pittsboro: Education

Celebrate the nation’s semiquincentennial year by joining the Chatham County Historical Association for its monthly Historical Walking Tour of Pittsboro. Just in time for back-to-school season, August’s tour will focus on the history of education throughout Chatham County’s past.

Too hot for a walking tour? No worries! This month only, the tour will take place at George Moses Horton Middle School, where participants will enjoy a short walk around the Horton campus before taking a virtual tour tracing the history of education in Chatham County from the comfort of the school’s multipurpose room.
